As the Genentech Research & Early Development (gRED) Research communication specialist (contract), you will implement communications strategies for the gRED Research organization to drive awareness, business performance, organizational culture, and employee engagement. You must be an effective communicator, a strong collaborator, and comfortable leveraging various digital tools to build our internal communications capabilities.

This role offers a unique opportunity for the ideal candidate to support internal research communications while working to implement best-in-class organizational communications practices.

This position reports to the Head of Communications for gRED Research. Major Responsibilities:
● Provide well-written, researched, validated, clear, and consistent business communications on various topics spanning organizational announcements, leadership communication, meeting presentations, multimedia, scripts, key messages, and talking points.
● Support the execution of the redesigned intranet by migrating existing sites to gSites
● Execute communications in support of change management.

Qualifications:
● BS/BA required

Experience:
● 2 - 5 years of experience in a communications role in a large, matrixed healthcare organization
● Experience with Adobe suite of creative tools
● Experience with Google suite
● Strong understanding of internal communications, employee engagement, and channel management
● Expert-level writing skills
To be successful, the research Communications Specialist must:
● Have a clear impact/results orientation and ability to set dynamic, compelling communications.
● Have a passion for company culture and creating a unique and differentiated employee experience
● Translate scientific research into communications suitable for a broad audience
● Demonstrate change management communications experience
● Demonstrate experience developing employee communications plans and campaigns, including knowing how to use creative design effectively.
● Experience in leveraging communications technology platforms to deliver compelling communications content
● Have outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Highly effective at distilling complex and sometimes voluminous content into clear, concise, and engaging communications
● Demonstrate strong consulting skills with the ability to assimilate business needs and circumstances and effectively advise others quickly
● Showcase time management and organizational skills. Consistently executes multiple, and sometimes competing, activities and complex projects to a high-quality conclusion, on time and within budget
● Consistently act with the requisite urgency (as different circumstances may dictate more urgent communications and priorities
● Be a great team player

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $20.00/hour-$28.95/hour
