Description
The Oncology Bioinformatics team in the Computational Biology and Translation Pillar of gRED Computational Sciences (gCS) is seeking a highly motivated data scientist to support extraction, interpretation, analysis, and workflow implementation of -omics datasets.
Requirements
● Advanced Python Programming: Proficient in Python programming, particularly within Linux-based High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
● Expertise in Workflow Language: Strong knowledge of workflow languages such as WDL, Nextflow, and/or Snakemake for automating and managing computational workflows.
● Version Control with Git: Experienced in tracking and managing code using Git for version control.
● Extensive Experience in Data Analysis: Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
● Proficiency in X-Omics Technologies: Familiarity with x-omics technologies and their applications in data analysis.
● Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
● Educational Background: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Data Sciences, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)
The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $53.57 - $71.43/hr
