Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced contractor to join our Molecular Biology lab in the Antibody Engineering department. The candidate will participate in developing high-throughput (HTP) processes to accelerate antibody production and characterization. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to execute and interpret experiments, communicate findings to cross-functional teams, and solve problems efficiently. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential to success in this role.

 

Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field.

• At least 2 years of hands-on research experience in a laboratory (industry or academia).

• Strong proficiency in core molecular biology techniques and experimental design.

• Skilled in DNA sequence analysis software (e.g., Geneious Prime) and general computer operations. Experience with Python and R programming is a plus.

• Experience with binding assays (e.g., ELISA, Biacore) is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with automated liquid handling systems and screening platforms is a plus.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Quick to learn, adaptable, and passionate about mastering new technologies.

 

Responsibilities:

• Participate in developing high-throughput (HTP) processes to prepare antibody DNA for expression.

• Conduct antibody characterization using techniques such as ELISA and Biacore.

• Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects.

• Troubleshoot and optimize experimental protocols as necessary.

• Maintain accurate records in centralized databases.

 

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)

The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $32.14 - $42.86/hr on W2
