Job Description: Congress Project Manager (contract)
The Project Manager will work with their manager and team to execute USMA OMNI Scientific Congress planning and execution for scientific meetings. In addition, they will work closely with USMA medical teams, PD, gRED, and pRED to develop pipeline product and clinical trial communication plans to drive content development for use at Scientific Congresses and other applicable activities. Cross-functional collaboration and coordination with the Commercial organization will be required to ensure activities are aligned and appropriate content is shared, while adhering to all compliance, legal, and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
As Program Manager, your major areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Execute on the annual Scientific Congress strategy and tactics for assigned product(s)/disease area(s), ensuring alignment with business needs
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to develop relationships acrossScientific Congress teams, and compliantly partner with external groups and stakeholders
- Manage external agency and vendor relationships for assigned congress planning and scientific content development
- Manage assigned administrative activities, to include healthcare compliance reporting and other requirements
- Support team with the collection and coordination of performance metrics for Scientific Congresses, including progress and trend reporting for key stakeholders
- Contribute to best practice project management for Scientific Congresses to ensure goals, objectives, and performance metrics are met and/or exceeded; identify new opportunities to streamline business processes
- Support Program Lead and team in managing budgets to ensure compliance with agreed parameters, and timely execution of assigned deliverables within budget variance
- Act as a guardian for high standards of compliance, ethics, and safety
- Responsibilities may increase with expansion of role (based on business need)
Who You Are
- Bachelors Degree (life sciences or business discipline is preferred)
- Previous GNE experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
- Prior experience in product marketing, market or pipeline strategy, medical affairs or product development is preferred
- Good business acumen: possess knowledge of products and services provided by Roche/Genentech, and multidisciplinary functions involved in the drug development process
- Demonstrates some strategic agility and has the ability to identify new opportunities to streamline business processes and contribute to best practice
- Strong project and process management skills: can prioritize multiple tasks and goals to ensure they are on-time, on-target and within-budget
- Good communication (verbal, written) and presentation skills: can communicate in a timely, thorough, and concise manner and is comfortable presenting information to others at varying organizational levels
- Possess negotiation, interpersonal, and partnering skills: demonstrates some leadership skills, works well within teams, and is effective in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong financial acumen: have proven abilities for effective planning, development, and oversight of project budgets and other resources

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)
The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is $53.95 - $71.93/hr on W2
